Indigenous Paralegals Trained on Human Rights and Business

Ratanakiri, September 8, 2016: A group of Paralegals from 27 indigenous communities in Ratanakiri are trained on Human Rights and Business, according to Mr. Lay Sovathara, Head of Access to Justice from Community Legal Education Center (#CLEC), who wrote on his Facebook status September 8, 2016.


The training which is and will be taking place (September 8 - 9, 2016) is organised by CLEC and #ICSO (Indigenous Community Support Organisation) is under facilitation and support by United Nations Human Rights Office of High Commissioner Cambodia, #OHCHR.

The training is taking place at Ratanak Boutique Hotel in Ratanakiri's Banlung city.

National Road No. 2 Blockage Violates Fundamental Rights of Cambodians

Phnom Penh, September 5, 2016: In the morning September 05, 2016, Ms. Sor Sorn and other land activists from Borei Keila community as always held #BlackMonday at their community to demand the human rights defenders, #HRDs to be free, #FreeHRDKh, and to urge the Royal Government of Cambodia to find killer who killed #KemLey, but were hindered by about 30 Security forces of Phnom Penh's Prampi Makara (7 January) district.

Nine Cambodian Protesters Arressted

Phnom Penh, September 4, 2016: at about 9 AM Sunday morning, nine people were arrested by the authority of Phnom Penh's Dongkor district. Those who were arrested and other people were preparing balloons to be released into the air (near Phnom Penh's Prey Sor prison) as the expression to demand Tep Vanny, human rights defenders, and an official from Cambodia's National Elections Committee to be free from prison, Puthisak Chan wrote on his Facebook status Sunday morning, September 4, 2016.

Among those nine people who were arrested, one woman known as an old lady Nget Khun from Boeung Kok community, five people including a girl from Thmor Kol community (near Phnom Penh International Airport), and three balloon vendors (father and sons), Puthisak states on his Facebook status.

What is Telemedicine?

Our search online found that telemedicine is the use of medical information exchanged from one site to another via electronic communications to improve a patient's clinical health status, defined by American Telemedicine Association.

The Association states that telemedicine includes a growing variety of applications and services using two-way video, email, smart phones, wireless tools and other forms of telecommunications technology.
